Starting Over

There is something so amazing about starting over. God does not want to leave you in a state of pain but rather in a state of light and joy. Praise God that sin is painful because otherwise, humans would never look for a way out of it. Praise God there is a solution! I John 2:16 tells us clearly that being caught up in a wrong focus—the sins of the flesh, sins of the heart, sins of the eye, the pride of life—is not from the Father: For everything in the world–the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does–comes not from the Father but from the world. Notice how the minute you focus off this object of sin and turn your focus to God and His work, the hurt, the pain, and the stress disappear! It is like magic. You will feel an instant release from sin and pain, and the heavy burden will be gone. Jesus said, Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29
